Animal Data

Temperament & Behavior

Cumana No. 113 Endlers are peaceful, active livebearers that do best in groups. Males are constantly displaying, and like other livebearers, they can be persistent with females, so keeping more females than males is ideal if both sexes are housed together. They are excellent for peaceful community tanks and do especially well in planted aquariums with stable water conditions.

Feeding

Cumana No. 113 Endlers thrive on a varied omnivorous diet. A rotation of quality foods helps support color, body condition, breeding, and overall health.

Recommended foods:

  • High-quality flakes and micro pellets
  • Frozen foods in moderation
  • Live baby brine shrimp
  • Vegetable-based foods or spirulina-based foods as part of a varied diet
Tank Parameters & Tankmates

They do best in tanks with:

  • Stable water quality and temperature
  • Harder, more alkaline water
  • Live plants and cover
  • Open swimming space
  • A lid or covered tank, as they can jump

Tank Size (Recommended)

  • Small group: 10 gallons minimum
  • Better long-term setup: 15 gallons+
  • Larger breeding colony: 20 gallons+ preferred

Water Temperature

  • Ideal range: 74–80°F
  • Many hobbyists keep them around 76–78°F
  • Stable temperature is more important than chasing an exact number

Tank Mates (Good Choices)

Best tank mates are other peaceful fish that will not nip fins or outcompete them aggressively.

Good tank mates may include:

  • Other peaceful Endlers and livebearers
  • Small rasboras
  • Peaceful nano fish
  • Shrimp and snails in properly planned setups

Avoid:

  • Fin-nipping fish
  • Large aggressive fish
  • Fish that are overly boisterous in small tanks
