Terms of Service

Effective date: 02/20/2026

Welcome to Legacy Line Aquatics LLC (“Legacy Line Aquatics,” “we,” “us,” “our”). By visiting our website or placing an order, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the site or purchase from us.

1) Products and Animal Welfare

We sell live freshwater aquarium fish (and may offer frozen foods such as baby brine shrimp). All livestock is packed carefully and shipped with animal welfare as the top priority. We may delay shipping due to weather or other conditions that could risk animal health.

2) Ordering and Payment

By placing an order, you agree that:

  • You are authorized to use the payment method submitted at checkout.

  • All order information (shipping address, phone number, etc.) is accurate.

  • Orders may be reviewed and canceled at our discretion if fraud, prohibited shipping destination, or other concerns are suspected.

3) Shipping Schedule and Delivery Requirements

  • We ship Monday–Wednesday only (weather permitting). Orders placed after Wednesday may ship the following week.

  • We ship using overnight service.

  • You must provide a valid shipping address and phone number.

  • Someone should be available to receive the package upon delivery. Do not request “leave at door” for live shipments.

We are not responsible for losses caused by:

  • Incorrect address, missing apartment/unit number, or other customer-provided address errors

  • Refused delivery or returned packages due to customer actions

  • Packages left unattended after delivery

4) Weather Holds and Carrier Delays

To protect livestock, we may place a weather hold and delay shipment when temperatures or severe weather conditions create an unsafe shipping environment. Carrier delays outside our control can occur. We will assist customers in working with the carrier, but we are not responsible for delays caused by events outside our control (for example: natural disasters, severe weather disruptions, or carrier operational issues).

5) Live Arrival Guarantee (DOA Policy)

We guarantee live arrival for live fish orders only when the requirements below are met.

Reporting window:
All DOA (Dead on Arrival) claims must be reported within 4 hours of the package being marked “Delivered” by the carrier.

How to file a claim:
Email orders@legacylineaquatics.com with:

  • Your order number

  • Required photos (below)

Required photos:

  1. Clear photo of the fish inside the unopened bag

  2. Clear photo of the fish after the bag is opened

  3. Photo of the shipping label on the box

  4. If multiple fish: photo showing all affected fish

Resolution:
For verified DOA claims submitted within the 4-hour window with required photos, we will issue a partial refund for the purchase price of the affected fish only to the original payment method. Shipping charges and any packing/material costs are non-refundable.

DOA exclusions:
The live arrival guarantee is void if:

  • The claim is submitted after the 4-hour reporting window

  • Required photos are not provided

  • Delivery was delayed or compromised due to incorrect address provided by the customer, refusal, or package left unattended

  • A weather hold was recommended/required and declined

  • Losses are caused by events outside our control (such as major carrier disruptions, natural disasters, or severe weather events)

6) No Returns for Live Fish and Frozen Foods

For biosecurity and animal welfare reasons, we do not accept returns of live fish or frozen foods.

7) Frozen Items (when offered)

Frozen products are non-returnable. If an order arrives thawed or damaged, contact orders@legacylineaquatics.com within 4 hours of delivery with photos of the product and packaging for review.

8) Order Cancellations and Changes

Orders can be canceled before shipment. Once an order has been packed, prepared for shipment, or shipped, it cannot be canceled or changed.

9) Pricing, Availability, and Errors

We may correct pricing errors, listing errors, or inventory issues at any time. If an item becomes unavailable after purchase, we may cancel the affected item(s) and issue an appropriate refund.

10) Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Legacy Line Aquatics LLC will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages. Our maximum liability for any claim related to an order will not exceed the amount paid for the affected item(s) in that order.
