Shipping Policy

Legacy Line Aquatics LLC ships live freshwater aquarium fish (and may offer frozen foods such as baby brine shrimp). Please read this policy carefully before ordering.

Shipping Days

  • We ship Monday–Wednesday only (weather permitting).

  • Orders placed after Wednesday may ship the following week.

Shipping Method

  • Live fish orders ship via FedEx Overnight only.

  • We do not ship live fish using 2-day, ground, or economy services.

Address and Phone Number Requirements

  • Customers must provide a complete and accurate shipping address (including apartment/unit numbers if applicable).

  • A phone number is required at checkout for delivery issues.

  • Someone should be available to receive the package upon delivery. Live shipments should not be left unattended.

We are not responsible for delivery issues caused by incorrect addresses, missing unit numbers, refused deliveries, or packages left unattended after delivery.

Weather Holds and Shipping Delays

To protect the health of live fish, we may delay shipping due to unsafe weather conditions (extreme heat/cold, severe storms, or major carrier disruptions). This is called a weather hold.

  • If a weather hold is needed, we will ship on the next safe shipping day.

  • Carrier delays outside our control can occur. We will assist with the claim process when possible, but we are not responsible for delays caused by events outside our control.

Packaging

Live fish are shipped in insulated packaging and are packed to support safe transit. Packaging methods may vary depending on season and weather conditions.

Live Arrival Guarantee (DOA)

Our Live Arrival Guarantee requirements and claim process are listed in our Return & Refund Policy.

  • DOA claims must be reported within 4 hours of delivery and require photos.

  • Verified DOA claims are eligible for a partial refund for the purchase price of the affected fish only (shipping is non-refundable).

Frozen Items (when offered)

Frozen items are shipped with cold-pack/insulated packaging when applicable. Frozen items are non-returnable. If an order arrives thawed or damaged, contact orders@legacylineaquatics.com within 4 hours of delivery with photos of the product and packaging.

Order Tracking

Tracking information will be provided once your order ships. Please monitor tracking and plan to receive the package on the delivery date.
