Bristlenose Pleco | Mixed-Color Line
This super red/ brick bristlenose breeding project starts with parent stock sourced from breeder Andre Pitre. His breeding group comes from a line developed through color crosses over multiple generations.
According to Andre’s experience with this line, offspring can include solid red fish, reddish fish retaining brown markings, and brown fish, with other lighter color variations potentially appearing.
Andre uses “brick” as a descriptive name for the reddish fish with brown patterning. We use that term to describe their appearance rather than a separate species or a genetically established variety.
As our offspring develop, we will evaluate their coloration and document the results. Available fish will be described by their actual appearance, with their mixed-color breeding background disclosed.
Color selection describes the fish’s appearance. It does not guarantee that its future offspring will all develop the same coloration.
