Windelov Java Fern

Windelov Java Fern is a decorative Java Fern cultivar recognized by the finely branched tips on its mature leaves. It provides a more textured, ornamental appearance while retaining the durability and low-tech care requirements of standard Java Fern.

Its compact size makes it useful in aquariums where standard Java Fern may eventually become too large. Like all Java Ferns, it grows from a rhizome that must remain exposed.

Growth & Care

Windelov grows slowly and benefits from stable conditions. Older leaves can be removed at the rhizome once damaged or heavily covered with algae.

Low-to-moderate light is sufficient. A complete water-column fertilizer supports healthy new leaves, but excessive fertilizer cannot compensate for unstable water or heavy algae growth.

Placement & Planting

Attach Windelov Java Fern to driftwood, stone, or aquarium decorations. If placed near the substrate, keep the horizontal rhizome completely exposed.
